rookbook

See how you actually play.

rookbook reads your whole Chess.com history and shows you the picture one game can’t — your style and strengths, the blown leads and missed mates, and the opponents who were later banned for cheating. And a full review of any game in it.

On Chess.com, Game Review is one game a day until you subscribe. rookbook reviews any game, move by move, with an engine running in your browser — the blunders, the mistakes, and the checkmates you walked past, each one replayed on the board at the exact position. No daily limit, no account, no paywall.

The mates you never saw.

A forced mate was on the board and you played something else — and you never found out, because the game moved on and nobody tells you. rookbook scans every game in your history and replays each miss to the exact position.

Including the games you won. A mate you walked past on move 20 is the same blind spot that costs you a winning position next week.

Bh3#
Bh3 is mate. Instead, on move 12 you played b5. You lost this game 13 moves later.

The opponents who weren't playing fair.

rookbook checks every opponent in your history against their account status today, and flags the ones since closed for cheating — with the games you lost to them. Chess.com often refunds rating for those losses. Nobody else tells you they happened.

Checked automatically. No digging. More playing.

It reads your public history

The same games anyone can already see on your Chess.com profile, pulled straight from Chess.com's public API. Everything is worked out from the moves themselves, so it covers every game you've played — not only the ones you've run Game Review on. Accuracy is the single exception, since Chess.com publishes that only for reviewed games.

03

The work happens on your device

Analysis runs in your browser and the results are cached there. Your games are never uploaded to us, because there's no us to upload them to.

rookbook also reads your playing style, a checkmate heatmap of where games end, your openings as a repertoire tree, rating trends and tilt, session fatigue, and where your clock goes. See every feature →
